‘In Bloom’

Bumblebees depend almost entirely on flowers for their food and, like us, they benefit from a varied diet.

They use nectar from the flowers as a source of fuel, as it is high in sugar.  The best habitats for bumblebees are those that offer plenty of flowers especially bee-friendly plants such as foxgloves, lavender, blue bells, poppies, ox-eye daisies and daffodils.

This mosaic has been made by a group of carers that meet at the TAAG  workshop every Thursday morning, whose names are threaded through the design, working with local artist Michelle Greenwood Brown and a team of volunteer helpers.
