TRAIL has always been shaped by creativity, collaboration, and community spirit. As a voluntary not-for-profit environmental arts project, volunteers play a hugely important role in helping bring TRAIL to life each year.
Whether you can offer a few hours, occasional support, or become more regularly involved, there are many ways to help support TRAIL20 and become part of our 20th anniversary year and beyond.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Volunteers can support TRAIL in many different ways, including:
- Assisting during sculpture installation and de-install days
- Helping install seafront signage and exhibition materials
- Keeping an eye on sculptures during walks and visits
- Photography and documenting the exhibition
- Social media, promotion, and publicity support
- Website updates and digital content
- Workshop assistance and creative support
- Administration and organisational support
- Accounts and behind-the-scenes help
- Artist liaison and exhibition support
- General practical help throughout the exhibition season
Whether your skills are creative, practical, organisational, technical, or simply community-minded, there is always a place within TRAIL for people who want to support environmental art and creativity.
WHY VOLUNTEER?
Volunteering with TRAIL offers the opportunity to:
- Support a long-running environmental arts project
- Meet artists, makers, and creative people
- Gain experience within arts and events environments
- Be part of a positive community initiative
- Help make creativity accessible within public spaces
- Contribute to one of the South West’s most distinctive outdoor exhibitions
Many volunteers become a valued and ongoing part of the wider TRAIL and The Makery @TAAG creative community.
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
We would love to hear from individuals, creatives, students, photographers, makers, retirees, community-minded people, and anyone interested in helping support TRAIL20.
