Towers of Hope

Plastic pollution from single use plastic is a huge problem but every little thing you do, from buying loose fruit and vegetables, remembering to take a bag for your shopping, to letting your supermarket know how you feel about the overuse of plastic wrapping helps to safeguard the future for our children drowning in plastic.

Plastic bottle tops are not always recycled and either go to landfill or are incinerated, choose to get your milk in recyclable glass bottles.

This sculpture was made in ‘The Craft Lab’ childrens area at The Craft Festival Bovey Tracey in June 2019. www.craftfestival.co.uk

The children were assisted by Trail artists Amy McCarthy, Sam Lock, Rose Bailey, Paula Jones, Liz Lockyear, Wendy Sanderson and Julia Vella.

These pieces will go on to be used as collecting points for recycling after the TRAIL has ended.

TRAIL would like to thank all the children that helped to create ‘The Towers of Hope’
