Protect the ‘green’ environment by Co-ordin8

Co-ordin8 is an adult learning disability project based in Torbay, and we have entered the Sculpture Trail for many years either as Hollacombe Arts,  AliWay Scrapstore or Co-ordinART.

As a group we are constantly discussing how we can have a positive impact on our environment, either by reducing our waste, reusing our recyclables and changing the environment we live in.

This year we have decided to all work together to contribute to the piece and are being led by one of our Co-ordinART groups, all of whom are also keen gardeners.

Their vision for the project was all about sharing their passion through gardening, protecting the ‘green’ environment and encouraging us all to plant something to encourage wildlife into our gardens.

The sculpture is mostly made from recycled materials, only the fittings and ties are new.

The three panels have been salvaged from the refurbishment of Paignton Parish Church, the flowers, plants and veg made from plastic bottles collected by the students.
